Internship and Residency Programs
The development of training and educational opportunities for students and professionals is one of the highest priorities for White Oak. White Oak utilizes expert staff and infrastructure to give students and conservation program personnel introductions to, and hands-on experience with, captive conservation breeding and wildlife health programs, as well as international species-based conservation projects. Residencies, internships, preceptorships, and summer work programs are offered.

Partner Capacity Building
White Oak utilizes expert staff and facilities to offer training programs for zoo and conservation partners who come here to gain knowledge and practical skills that build capacity at their respective institutions. White Oak offers training in several areas including mid-size carnivore management, ungulate management, veterinary science, and program management.
